COP29: ETS Group companies present environmental technologies at the UN Climate Change Conference in Baku

|

The ETS Group, an experienced provider of multiple environmental protection technologies, is presenting its solutions for more sustainability in industrial operations and maintenance at COP29. At the UN Climate Change Conference, the Conference of the Parties, international heads of state and government meet to assess progress on climate protection and discuss new measures. Together with its companies ETS Air Systems and ETS Degassing, the ETS Group is presenting its innovative technologies for reducing harmful industrial emissions at stand C16 in the conference’s Green Zone. These efficient solutions can be applied to reduce emissions of gases and pollutants with a high Greenhouse Warming Potential (GWP) factor.

The annual UN Climate Change Conference is an important platform for states, organizations, scientists and companies to discuss solutions for enhancing environmental protection and combating climate change as well as to formulate new climate targets. The Conference of the Parties comprises 198 parties, 197 countries and the European Union. In 2024, the 29th Climate Change Conference takes place from November 11 to 22 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The COP29 Green Zone is the meeting place at the UN Climate Change Conference for companies, scientists, media representatives, organizations and other groups to present solutions for climate protection.

“We are proud to be presenting our technologies in the Green Zone at COP29 in Baku and have already had many good conversations in the first days of the event with interested parties about the application of our services”, says David Wendel, Managing Director of ETS Group and ETS Degassing GmbH. “COP29 plays a key role in global climate protection. The ETS Group with its companies ETS Degassing and ETS Air Systems is an experienced expert in the reduction and removal of emissions and pollutants in the air. Our solutions help industrial plant operators to reduce emissions of harmful gases such as VOC and HAP. This is an important contribution to reducing the global carbon footprint and improving the air quality. We look forward to many interesting discussions about environmental protection during COP29.”

Mobile degassing and emission reduction

ETS Degassing offers industrial customers services for the reduction of harmful emissions. With mobile combustion chambers in various capacities for different applications, gases, gas mixtures and vapors can be destroyed in an environmentally-friendly manner with an efficiency of over 99.99 % and without an open flame. Applications for the units include the degassing of all types of tanks in industrial facilities such as tank farms, refineries or chemical plants as well as the degassing and purging of ships and inland vessels. The mobile combustion chambers can also be used as temporary replacements for stationary emission reduction systems in order to avoid shutdowns and to maintain operations. A mobile nitrogen vaporizer for inerting and purging when handling liquid gases expands ETS Degassing’s technology park, as do a blower certified for ATEX Zone 0, a robot for remote-controlled tank cleaning from a safe distance and other additional equipments for hire.

Industrial air purification and removal of pollutants

ETS Air Systems offers efficient and patented air purification systems that prevent the release of VOC and remove pollutants from the air with a degradation rate of over 99 %. This allows pollutants to be converted into freely available heat flow. With clean and healthy air, companies can make an important contribution to health and climate protection. The range of industrial exhaust air purifiers includes both thermal and catalytic air purifiers. The process air purifiers are available as modular concepts in three sizes, and the modular design means that capacity can be expanded as required at any time. The industrial exhaust air purification systems are suitable for use in various industries. ETS Air Systems also offers units for indoor air purification and real-time measurement of air quality.

Partnership between ETS Degassing and TECO for Azerbaijan

During COP29, ETS Degassing and TECO have signed a multi-year partnership to work together in Azerbaijan and the Caspian Sea region. “TECO is a local industrial service provider with the goal of improving the local process industry in terms of ESG with the help of technology companies”, says David Wendel. “We are pleased to now also support industrial customers in Azerbaijan in reducing their emissions as part of the partnership.”

“We are happy to have partnered with ETS Degassing as experts in degassing and emission reduction”, say Ziya Hajiyev and Emil Abbasov, Managing Directors of TECO. “Emission reduction and mobile degassing are an important contribution to more environmental protection. As we support the operators of industrial plants on the Caspian Sea in achieving greater sustainability, the two companies are a perfect match. Mobile degassing with various applications such as tank degassing, pipelines, turnarounds and shipping is an important part of the effort to protect the environment and reduce emissions. As part of the partnership, we will be able to offer our customers further innovative services in the future.”

ETS Group, ETS Air Systems and ETS Degassing will be presenting their environmental protection technologies in the Green Zone of COP29 in Baku at stand C16 until November 22.
