TSA responds to the Budget 2020
Commenting on today’s Budget statement, the Tank Storage Association’s Executive Director, Peter Davidson, said: “Today’s Budget comprises a number of key announcements in relation to regional growth, UK infrastructure, business rates as well as support for businesses in light of the global challenge presented by Coronavirus. At a time of substantial change, the Tank Storage Association is clear that creating an environment that helps businesses and trade continue to thrive as we move towards the next phase of the energy transition will require tackling challenges and building solutions for change together, in partnership. The UK’s bulk liquid storage sector supports growth and prosperity by importing, exporting, storing and blending liquid products that are integral to our daily lives. We will therefore continue to liaise closely with government and set out our sector’s essential considerations for the future.”

The Tank Storage Association (TSA) represents the interests of over 60 member companies engaged in the storage of bulk liquids and the provision of products and services to the sector. Collectively, its members operate over 290 terminals and distribution hubs in the UK and have over 8 million cubic metres of storage capacity in the United Kingdom (UK) and Republic of Ireland (ROI). TSA’s members provide and support an essential interface between sea, road, rail and pipeline logistics for many different substances including transport and heating fuels, chemicals, animal feed and foodstuffs.
